A note: which document types count, and how far back still counts as "recent," vary by region and change as Binance updates its policy. Binance currently splits the window by region — 6 months in most countries (unless the document states otherwise, up to 1 year), 3 months for Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Colombia, El Salvador, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Poland, Spain, Sweden and for Binance BH/GCC and Binance FZE (Dubai), and 2 months in India. These windows are not fixed forever — before you upload, go by whatever the Binance verification page asks for at that moment (the validity windows on this page were checked on 27 August 2026). It's a self-check only and doesn't mean the platform will approve your file.
Why proof of address gets bounced so often
The usual reasons: the document is too old, it shows a name but no full address, it's a type Binance won't accept, or the photo is blurry or has a finger over one corner. Spending a minute going through each point before you submit beats getting rejected and starting over. For how to prepare each item and which documents work, read the companion piece on preparing your Binance proof of address. If you've already been rejected and want to appeal, see how to appeal a failed verification.
