We collect almost nothing about you
KYC Lane is a plain static website: there's no sign-up, no account, nowhere to log in, and no form that submits data to our server. When you read an article or use a tool, nothing on our end needs — or picks up — your name, email, ID document, or any other personal detail. Put simply, reading one of our guides is a lot like leafing through a printed booklet: we don't write anything down.
The tools run entirely in your browser
The self-serve tools on the site — the limit look-up, document filter, face-verification self-check, checklist builder, progress tracker, and so on — process whatever you tick or type only inside your own browser. Nothing is uploaded to us. A few of them (the progress tracker, for one) use your browser's localStorage to keep your progress on this device so you can pick up where you left off next time. That data lives in your browser, you can clear it whenever you like (just clear your browsing data or site data), and we can't read it.
No analytics or ad tracking by default
As of this update, the site has no web analytics like GA4, and no third-party advertising cookies or behavioural tracking scripts. We don't run this place by watching what you look at. If we ever do add an analytics tool, we'll update this page and spell out what it is and what it collects, rather than quietly switching it on.
The one third-party request we make (an honest disclosure)
One thing is worth stating plainly: the page fonts load through Google Fonts (from the domains fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). That means when you open a page, your browser automatically sends a request to those two Google domains to fetch the fonts — a third-party request that exposes some technical information (your IP address and browser type, the sort of thing any request carries by default). How that data is handled falls under Google's own privacy policy and is outside our control. We mention it so you're aware of it.
Links that leave the site
The site has links to outside places like Binance (for instance, the "Sign up on Binance" button, which opens Binance's own page in a new tab). Once you click through and land on someone else's website, their privacy policy applies and this page no longer governs anything. For how Binance and similar platforms handle your information, go by their respective policies.
Your rights and how to reach us
If you have any privacy question, email us at [email protected] and we'll read it carefully. One thing to note: since you never submit any personal data to us in the first place, there's naturally no data on our side to look up, export, or delete. The bit of progress stored by the local tools, as noted above, sits on your own device and is yours to clear.
Minors
The content here (opening a Binance account and passing KYC) is meant for adults and is not directed at minors, and we don't knowingly collect any information from them. Dealing with crypto assets comes with its own age and compliance requirements, so please make sure you meet the rules where you live before using it.
