"KYC Lane" is a pen name
KYC Lane is the name this small editorial team goes by — it comes from our domain, kyclane.com, and it's the mark you see in the top-left corner. It isn't any one person's real name. We're not going to invent an editor-in-chief, a decade of industry experience, or a stack of licenses; we don't have those, and we don't think this page needs them. (There's a Chinese-language edition of this site run by the same team, if you'd rather read that.) What we actually do is narrow and concrete: walk you through Binance from sign-up to finished verification, one step at a time. Whether we're worth trusting comes down to one thing — does the content solve your problem — not to how impressive a title we could put next to our name.
We only do one thing
This site sticks to a single stretch of the journey — opening an account and getting verified. That means registration, the verification code that never shows up, identity checks (KYC), liveness face scans, proof of address, review and appeals, and the account tiers and limits that come with all of it. Trading strategy, earning products, calls on where the market is headed — none of that is our lane, and you won't find us telling you what to buy. We keep the scope narrow on purpose, so we can go deep and get it right on this one part.
Where the content comes from, and how we check it
- The steps and the "watch out for this" notes are written from what Binance publishes in its official Help Center, combined with us actually running through the process ourselves;
- Anything about specific fees, limits, accepted documents, or how long review takes is written as a general guide, with a clear note that whatever the Binance page shows at the time is what counts — those things shift by region and by policy, and pinning down an exact number would only mislead you;
- We mark when a page was written or last updated, so you can judge how current it is;
- When we find something wrong or out of date, we fix it — and we log the changes that matter on our corrections page.
How we make money (out in the open)
Some registration-decision pages contain clearly labelled promotional links. If you use one, this site may earn a commission. We do not promise code acceptance, a discount, eligibility, or regional availability; check every term on the official Binance page for your region before proceeding. Navigation, footers, informational pages, and tools do not carry those links.
A few lines we won't cross
- We don't pose as Binance. We're an independent guide. We won't pretend to be the company, and we won't use lines like "official entrance" or "the latest official address";
- We don't give investment advice. We show you how to do things, but whether to buy and how much to put in is your call — crypto carries real risk;
- We're against "verification-for-hire," "guaranteed approval," and buying accounts. Verification only works when you do it yourself with your own genuine documents; paying someone to do it for you breaks the rules and is a magnet for scams;
- We don't block anyone by region. We don't market to restricted regions, and we don't shut anyone out either — whether Binance is available where you live, and what your local rules are, is something you'll need to confirm for yourself.
